Friday September 23, 2011 RAIN POSTPONES BILL THOMAS MEMORIAL NATIONALS QUALIFER UNTIL SEPTEMBER 30 BRIDGEPORT, NJ (September 23, 2011) - Rain and a dreary forecast of additional precipitation forced Bridgeport Speedway management to postpone the Bill Thomas Memorial Nationals qualifying event on Friday, September 23 until Friday, September 30.
At this special qualifying race on Friday, September 30, the top three finishers in the 270cc and 600cc Micro-Sprint features will be guaranteed starters in the Bill Thomas Memorial Nationals slated for Saturday, October 8. Also on September 30, the 4-Cylinder Stock Cars and open Modifieds will be in action as well on the quarter mile speedway.
On Friday, September 30, all gates will unlock at 5:00 p.m. with racing set to start at 7:00 p.m. Adult admission to the grandstand is $12 with no charge for children 12 and under. Admission to the pit area is $25 with a license and $30 without a license.
Bridgeport Speedway provides a safe and secure family atmosphere, free parking, giveaways and fan participation games. Billed ‘The Fastest Dirt Track in the East’, Bridgeport Speedway is a banked 5/8th mile dirt oval, featuring a dirt 1/4 mile oval embedded in the center, and is located in Southern New Jersey -- just minutes from Pennsylvania and Delaware at exit 14 off of I-295.
